The Office of Stewardship & Mission is an invitation for our Archdiocese to journey forward Together In Mission with faith, hope, and communion. Rooted in the principles of stewardship, inspired by the teachings of the Second Vatican Council, and guided by the pastoral leadership of Archbishop Chatlain and Pope Leo XIV, Together In Mission calls us to renew our hearts, strengthen our parishes, and deepen our shared commitment to the mission of Christ. This new office recognizes at the heart of the Christian life is an encounter with Jesus Christ – an encounter that transforms us, draws us into communion with Jesus Christ and one another, as it sends us forth in mission for the good of the whole world. Every Christian, every parish, every community, and every organization is called to be a place of encounter: a place where people are welcomed, formed in faith, inspired to serve, and empowered to live as missionary disciples united by a common purpose to be faithful witnesses to Jesus Christ.
This encounter leads to a disciple’s response:
- To live as faithful stewards of God’s gifts, generously sharing our time, talent, and treasure.
- To grow in faith through prayer, worship, and lifelong formation.
- To join together in mission and ministry, proclaiming the Gospel through word and deed.
Stewardship & Mission will focus on:
- Stewardship as the spirituality of the contemporary disciples
- Stewardship as a lens for being church.
- Stewardship that is formed and fashioned through the celebration of liturgy.
- Stewardship as the source of mission and ministry involvement.
- Stewardship as the cause for our work and labour and the care of creation and the whole world.
