Marriage preparation in the Archdiocese of Winnipeg is generally offered in two different formats. A group session – offered on weekends or evenings in a parish or mentorship where engaged couple meets with a sponsor couple at a mutually convenient time. In some cases, other options are possible. Check with the pastor or other designated person in the parish where you will be married to clarify acceptable options.

Your Marriage
Marriage is a lifelong choice, a vocation, and a sacrament, and preparing for it takes more than planning the ceremony. Over time the partners will reflect, discuss, and take action toward building a more complete unity in mind, body, and heart. Through the sacrament of marriage, spouses are joined together in the Lord and become a new sign of God’s presence in the world.
This workbook is part of the Liguori Sacramental Preparation Series, preparing couples for their new life as husband and wife.
For Better and Forever
The book that has helped couples all over the world discover new joy, intimacy, and satisfaction in their marriages is now revised and expanded. Learn the way to achieve “happily ever after” by integrating cutting-edge psychology with a clear articulation of the Catholic vision of love and marriage.
What God Has Joined
What God Has Joined helps you discuss the important aspects of your relationship before you begin your lifelong journey together. Speaking from over twenty-five years of experience as a marriage preparation facilitator, Mona-Lee Feehan has created an easy-to-understand resource that guides you through this process of discovery. With the guidance of your facilitator, you will learn about yourself and your spouse-to-be as you explore topics such as your expectations for marriage, creating a family, communicating well, and dealing with conflict, among others. Learn about the importance of the sacrament of marriage and what it means to have a God-centered relationship. Talk through these vital areas before your wedding day so that you can be confident that you and your spouse-to-be are on the same page regarding the essentials of your life together.
Each chapter includes worksheets for both bride and groom and thought-provoking questions to consider.
