Winnipeg Hosts 2026 Canadian Catholic Financial Administrators’ Conference
From May 24–27, 2026, the Archdiocese of Winnipeg, the Archdiocese of St. Boniface, and the Ukrainian Catholic Archeparchy of Winnipeg had the privilege of hosting the 2026 Canadian Catholic Financial Administrators’ Conference (CCFA) in Winnipeg.
The conference brought together financial administrators and Church leaders from dioceses and organizations across Canada to share knowledge, strengthen collaboration, and explore the evolving responsibilities of leadership within the Church.
We are grateful for the dedication and leadership of Fr. Mark Gnutel, Gisele Gratton, and Hipolito Alibin Jr., whose planning and coordination made this gathering possible.
Throughout the conference, participants reflected on topics such as the changing landscape of Church administration, emerging technologies, and the growing role of artificial intelligence. These conversations echoed the themes found in Pope Leo XIV’s encyclical Magnifica Humanitas, emphasizing that technological innovation must always be guided by respect for the dignity of the human person and serve the common good.
The conference also highlighted the expanding responsibilities of leaders within registered charities, faith-based organizations, and non-profit institutions. Today’s financial administrators are called not only to support pastoral ministry and charitable stewardship but also to strengthen governance, manage risk responsibly, advise leadership, and ensure that the Church’s mission is carried out with accountability and lasting impact.
We also extend our sincere appreciation to the conference sponsors for their generous support: Ex Corde Foundation, Ecclesiastical Insurance, Fiera Capital, Onyx Financial Group, Acera Insurance, MNP Digital, MLT Aikins, Royal Bank of Canada, BDO Canada, and our host Archdioceses and Archeparchy.
