On February 18, 2025, the Archdiocese of Winnipeg hosted Fr. Gregory Hrynkiw of the Ukrainian Eparchy of Saskatoon, who gave two presentations on the Nicene Creed. The first presentation, in honour of the 1700th anniversary of the Creed, was given to clergy of the Archdiocese of Winnipeg, the Archdiocese of Saint-Boniface, and the Ukrainian Archeparchy at Petrus Hall in Winnipeg.

That evening, at St. John XXIII Parish in Winnipeg, Fr. Gregory spoke again, this time to parishioners from each archdiocese in a more condensed format. Though brief, his presentation was packed with fascinating history and explained the beauty of the Nicene Creed and the significance of the Council of Nicaea.
Fr. Gregory encouraged those attending to live the Creed, embrace it as a way of life, and pray it daily, especially during this Jubilee Year. He also encouraged the daily recitation of baptismal vows as we go about our busy lives.
Thank you, Fr. Gregory, for making the trip to Winnipeg to educate our laity and clergy alike on this essential component of our faith!
