35th Annual Public Way of the Cross

On Good Friday, March 29, 2024, the faithful of Winnipeg gathered for what may be considered the largest Public Way of the Cross to date. An estimated 2,000 people gathered that chilly morning to commemorate and remember the Lord’s Passion and His arduous journey to His crucifixion on Calvery.

Every year, the Public Way of the Cross is hosted by a different parish in the Archdiocese of Winnipeg. This year, the 35th year, was a historic one, as it was the first time that the Public Way of the Cross was hosted on a university campus.

The Archdiocese of Winnipeg is incredibly grateful to Saint Paul’s College’s staff, students, and volunteers for their hard work in making the event an incredible, reverent, and prayerful experience for everyone gathered.
