Catholic Marriage Services at the Wonderful Wedding Show

The Wonderful Wedding Show (WWS) is Winnipeg’s premier event for couples planning one of the biggest days of their lives. Held at the RBC Convention Centre on February 22-23, 2025, the show spanned an impressive 100,000 sq. ft. and featured hundreds of luxury brands and high-end vendors. Every wedding essential was there, from florists and audio/visual companies to caterers (offering delicious free samples), bridal boutiques, and venue décor teams. The event even hosted fashion shows, where professional models showcased breathtaking wedding gowns that could easily be someone’s dream dress!

If you’re all about glam and elegance, WWS is the perfect place to immerse yourself in the wedding-planning experience. But amidst all the sparkle and grandeur, one small yet meaningful booth stood out—Catholic Marriage Services.
Yes! Our faith was represented in the heart of this dazzling event.
For the third consecutive year, the Archdiocese of Winnipeg and the Archdiocese of St. Boniface joined forces to create a welcoming space for couples, celebrating the beauty and significance of the Sacrament of Marriage. Our mission was simple: to joyfully represent the Catholic Church, not to pressure or persuade, but to share the beauty of Catholic marriage in a welcoming and authentic way.
Throughout the weekend, hundreds of couples stopped by our booth. Some offered a quick hello, while others engaged in deeper conversations. We met excited Catholic couples preparing for their sacramental wedding, as well as others who were simply curious. Our team was honored to answer their questions, provide helpful resources, and share inspiring stories. Many visitors expressed their surprise—and appreciation—that the Catholic Church had a presence at WWS. Hooray!
Of course, none of this would have been possible without our amazing volunteers—married couples, deacons, and priests—who joyfully gave their time to share their love for the Sacrament of Marriage. Their warm presence and heartfelt conversations helped plant seeds of openness and appreciation for what it means to receive the sacrament in the Catholic Church.
We are incredibly grateful for this experience and look forward to continuing this mission in the years to come! “In everything, set them an example by doing what is good.” -Titus 2:7-
