Updates from the CCCB

June 3, 2025 – Two updates have come from the CCCB regarding interfaith dialogue. In April 2025, the CCCB sponsored the Hindu-Catholic Dialogue in collaboration with the Hindu Federation of Canada. The focus on the event’s discussions was mental health, particularly how it’s understood in different faith traditions. Their next meeting will be held in September. Click here to read more.

Additionally, in April, delegates from the CCCB and the Coptic Orthodox Church met with hopes of strengthening their relationships by means of formal dialogue. The group discussed the 1700th anniversary of the Council of Nicaea and the history of Egyptian and Benedictine monasticism.  “The hope for building bonds with the Copts—who now have approximately 20 parishes and missions from coast to coast—has been a desire for a few years, and the CCCB’s Commission for Christian Unity, Religious Relations with the Jews, and Interfaith Dialogue is grateful to the Lord for bringing it to cusp of realization.” Click here to read the full article from the CCCB.
