Serra Club of Winnipeg supports our seminarians
Post Submitted by: Barbara Rolestone of the Serra Club of Winnipeg
This weekend is the World Day of Prayer for Vocations – or Good Shepherd Sunday – instituted by Pope Paul VI in 1964. Parishes are especially encouraged to include prayers for increased vocations to the priesthood and religious life in the general intercessions on that day.
The Serra Club of Winnipeg recently presented Myles Cesario with a cheque to support his Seminary Studies. We wish to congratulate Myles Cesario on the completion of his first Propaedeutic Year, and he will be beginning his Discipleship Studies in September at St. Joseph Seminary in Edmonton. Please join us in praying for our Seminarian, Myles Cesario and the ongoing mission of supporting Vocations and Seminarians. Serra Club is a Catholic lay organization that promotes Vocations. Serra International has an Adopt-A-Seminarian program; please get in touch with the Serra Club of Winnipeg at 204-227-4090 if you wish to support this initiative!
“Behind and before every vocation to the priesthood or the consecrated life, there is always the strong and intense prayer of someone: a grandmother, a mother, a father, a community.” – Pope Francis.
