Background:
“This is the third update of our Archdiocean manual of Administration since it was first published in 1998. The Code of Canon Law recommends that “all administration perform their duties with the diligence of a good housekeeper.” (cf. can. 1284-1) This beautiful description defines the modes of conduct socially accepted as being the normal way of performing administrative tasks; administration is founded on a relationship of trust. This manual, therefore, presupposes a spirit of commitment and integrity on the part of those who are entrusted with the administration of the temporal goods of the Church.”
