The Spirit and Intent of the Treaties: A Discussion for Today

In this month devoted to Truth and Reconciliation, join Dr. Karine Duhamel as she speaks on “The Spirit and Intent of the Treaties”. All adults and young adults are invited to join a journey to increase our awareness and understanding of the history and legacy of the First Peoples of St. James Assiniboia.

Dr. Karine Duhamel, is an Anishinaabe-Métis woman from Red Rock First Nation and a dynamic speaker. This event is sponsored in part by the Social Awareness Committee at St. Ann Parish, thanks to a grant from The Winnipeg Foundation, which enables the convening of a monthly series of seminars and experiential gatherings.

She will speak on The Spirit and Intent of the Treaties:  A Discussion for Today on Friday, September 12, 7-9 pm, at St Ann’s Church, 271 Hampton Street, in St James (just west of Route 90). There is no cost to attend.
