Marriage Catechumenate Workshop For Clergy

Date: April 16, 2026
Location: Saint Paul the Apostle Church (Main Hall)(View Map)
Time: 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM

You’re Invited: Marriage Catechumenate Workshop

The Archdiocese warmly invites Parish Sponsor Couples for Marriage Preparation, Catechists, Youth Ministry Coordinators, Parish Pastoral Council (PPC) members, and clergy to attend our upcoming Marriage Catechumenate Workshop.

As the Church continues to renew and strengthen marriage preparation, this workshop will explore the vision of a more intentional, pastoral, and accompaniment-based approach to forming couples for lifelong sacramental marriage. Together, we will reflect on how our parishes can walk with couples—not only during their engagement—but throughout the different stages of married life.

There will also be a dedicated workshop session specifically for our clergy, offering space to reflect on their unique pastoral role in implementing and supporting the Marriage Catechumenate in parish life.

This is a valuable opportunity to:

  • Deepen your understanding of the Marriage Catechumenate model
  • Strengthen parish-based marriage formation
  • Clarify the pastoral role of clergy and lay leaders
  • Share insights and best practices with fellow ministry leaders
  • Be renewed in your mission of accompanying couples with faith and compassion

Workshop details and registration information can be found here or on the event poster.

What is the Marriage Catechumenate?

  • It is not a program and is not solely related to “marriage preparation.”
  • It is an integrated and ongoing process of faith formation and accompaniment for married and family life
  • Inspired by the catechumenate for Christian initiation
  • Rooted in evangelization, catechesis, and accompaniment
  • Supporting young people, couples, and families at every stage of their lives

These workshops will provide an opportunity to reflect on how our ministries promote a culture of vocation, strengthen family formation in the faith, and help young people grow in a mature understanding of sacramental commitment.

Let us continue building a culture of strong, Christ-centered marriages in our Archdiocese.
