Huns Valley 140 Celebration

Date: August 16-17, 2024
Location: Polonia Manitoba(View Map)
Time: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM

On August 16th, 1885, Geza de Döry lead a group of 17 settler families to the beautiful Stoney Creek valley north of Neepawa. They built a community that they named Huns Valley (later changed to Polonia).
Many families followed in their footsteps and the success of Huns Valley paved the way for the influx of Hungarian, Polish, Ukrainian and other Slavic settlers to the West. A heritage that spans the generations, and we plan to celebrate! 140 years later, on the exact anniversary of the settlement, it would be fitting to “Come Home”.
