  • Challenge Girls Club and Conquest Boys Club Banquet:

    Posted on April 5, 2018

Once per year the youth and their parents of the Challenge Girls Club and Conquest Boys Club of Manitoba gather at a parish in the City of Winnipeg to celebrate their faith and to honour the priests of the Archdioceses of Winnipeg and St. Boniface. This year the gathering was held at Saints-Martyrs-Canadiens Parish. The meal was contributed by all of the many families involved in these two clubs with well over 200 people attending the event. Fr. Colin Peterson from the Archdiocese of Winnipeg was the key note speaker who spoke of his vocational journey from the United Church into the Catholic Church. Seen here is Fr. Peterson speaking to the youth and an evening photo of Saints-Martyrs-Canadiens Parish’s exterior.
The young people offered a Spiritual Bouquet for the priests of the two Archdioceses consisting of: 5 Novenas; 13 Stations of the Cross; 17 offerings of Almsgiving; 40 meals in Fasting; 40 hours of Adoration; 125 Masses; 141 Acts of Sacrifices; 143 Divine Mercy Chaplets; 236 Decades of the Rosary; 426 Rosaries; and 571 Prayers! Many thanks to these young people!
