  • Golf fundraiser for new St. Peter's Church:

    Posted on August 1, 2017

Every parish planning a major project enters into many years of earnest fundraising. The great variety of possibilities demands effort and creativity and in the end, besides the accumulation of the necessary funds, there is the added advantage of building community. The Archdiocesan Sharing God’s Gifts Campaign is also an important means of helping with the Archdiocesan pastoral works but can assist parishes with their own projects as well.
Shown here is a happy group, part of about 100 people who turned up to play in a St. Peter’s Parish Golf Tournament to assist the building of a new church for St. Peter’s Parish – now well underway at Inkster and Brookside Boulevards in Northwest Winnipeg.. The Golf tournament was held July 29, a very hot day, at the Meadows Golf Course outside the perimeter of the city.
